Air Force Pilots Spot Metallic Discs Over Carson Sink in 1952

On July 24 1952 Captain John R. McGinn and Captain John R. Barton were flying a B-25 bomber on a training mission over the Carson Sink area of Nevada.
At approximately 3:40 PM the two pilots observed two unidentified objects approaching their aircraft from the east. The objects were circular in shape metallic silver in color and approximately 100 feet in diameter.
They flew in perfect formation and executed a series of sharp 90 degree turns at speeds far exceeding any known aircraft of the era.
The pilots watched the objects for several minutes before they accelerated rapidly and disappeared from sight.
The incident was officially documented in Air Force records as part of Project Blue Book.
No conventional explanation such as weather balloons or known aircraft could account for the observed performance characteristics.
The Carson Sink sighting remains one of the most credible pilot encounters from the 1952 UFO wave.
