Dechmont Law Scotland Forester Encounters UFO

Dechmont Law Scotland Forester Encounters UFO

On November 9, 1979, in the wooded area of Dechmont Law, Scotland, forester Robert Taylor experienced one of the most documented UFO encounters in British history.

While walking his dog during a routine workday, Taylor spotted a large, spherical object hovering silently above the ground, described as metallic and about 20 feet in diameter with a dome-like top.

As he approached, two smaller spherical entities, which he likened to sea mines with protruding spikes, emerged from the larger craft and seemed to attack him, grabbing his trousers and dragging him towards the UFO.

Taylor lost consciousness briefly and awoke to find the objects gone, but not before noticing strange odors and hearing a hissing sound.

He returned to his vehicle with torn clothing and grazes on his skin, reporting the incident to local police.

Investigators found unusual depressions in the soil and broken branches at the site, which were analyzed and deemed unexplained by experts at the time.

This case stands out due to the credible witness—a respected employee with no history of mental illness—and the physical evidence collected, including photographs and soil samples that showed signs of disturbance.

Official reports from the Lothian and Borders Police confirmed Taylor's account, making it a cornerstone in UFO lore.

The encounter left Taylor deeply shaken, and he maintained his story until his death, emphasizing the reality of what he saw.

This incident highlights the global nature of UFO sightings, spanning decades and continents, and encourages ongoing investigation into unexplained aerial phenomena.
