Disc Shaped Craft Hovers Silently Over Sydney in 1975

In the summer of 1975 residents and aviation professionals in Sydney Australia reported a striking UFO encounter involving a disc shaped craft.

On a clear afternoon multiple airline pilots and ground observers noticed a metallic disc hovering motionless above Sydney Harbor. The object showed no visible means of propulsion and produced no sound.

It maintained a steady position for several minutes allowing detailed observation of its smooth reflective surface and perfect circular form.

Suddenly the disc accelerated vertically at tremendous speed disappearing into the sky without any sonic boom or exhaust.

Official reports were filed with aviation authorities and local police but no conventional explanation such as aircraft or weather phenomena was identified.

This sighting contributed to the broader wave of Australian UFO reports during the mid 1970s and remains one of the better documented disc encounters from that era due to the credibility of the pilot witnesses.
