Forestry Worker Assaulted By Metallic Spheres In Livingston Woods
On the morning of November 9 1979 forestry worker Robert Taylor was inspecting young trees in Dechmont Woods near Livingston Scotland when he encountered an extraordinary craft.
A large dome shaped object approximately twenty feet across hovered just above the ground its surface metallic and smooth with protruding spikes around the circumference.
Two smaller spheres covered in similar spikes detached from the main craft and rolled toward Taylor.
As they approached he felt a strong acrid smell and lost consciousness.
When he awoke the objects were gone but his clothing was torn and he had marks on his body.
Taylor reported the incident to the police who documented the scene and noted indentations in the ground consistent with his description.
The case remains one of the most credible UFO encounters in Britain with physical evidence and official records supporting the witness account.
No conventional explanation has ever been accepted by investigators.
