Hotel Workers Photograph Diamond UFO Over Calvine Scotland

Hotel Workers Photograph Diamond UFO Over Calvine Scotland

In the quiet Scottish Highlands during August 1990 two employees at a hotel near the village of Calvine witnessed an extraordinary sight.

A massive diamond shaped object approximately the size of a large aircraft hovered silently in the sky. The craft remained stationary for several minutes while a military Harrier jet circled nearby.

One of the witnesses retrieved a camera and took six photographs capturing the scene. The most compelling image shows the diamond craft with the jet in the foreground.

The men reported the sighting to local authorities and forwarded the negatives to a Scottish newspaper. The images eventually reached the British Ministry of Defence where they were examined and then reportedly classified.

Despite official interest the photographs were never returned to the witnesses and the case received limited public attention at the time.

Researchers later obtained copies of the surviving print through freedom of information channels confirming the details of the encounter.

The Calvine photograph remains one of the clearest images of an unidentified aerial object recorded in the United Kingdom.
