Navy Jet Films Rotating Gimbal Object Off Florida in 2015

In January 2015 off the coast of Florida US Navy pilots from the USS Theodore Roosevelt encountered an unidentified aerial phenomenon during training exercises.

The now famous Gimbal video was recorded using advanced infrared targeting systems on an F/A 18 Super Hornet. The object appeared as a bright white shape that rotated on its axis while maintaining controlled flight without visible wings propulsion or exhaust.

Multiple pilots reported the sighting on radar and through visual confirmation. The footage was later authenticated by the Pentagon and released to the public in 2017 as part of efforts to acknowledge UAP encounters.

This incident remains one of the most credible documented cases involving military sensors and trained observers.
