Officers Track Elongated UFO With Radar Confirmation in 1960

On the night of August 13 1960 two California Highway Patrol officers near Red Bluff observed a large elongated object glowing with red lights hovering and maneuvering at high speed.

The craft descended and ascended rapidly performing sharp turns that defied known aircraft capabilities.

Radio reports from nearby military installations confirmed the object on radar providing independent corroboration of the visual sighting.

Witnesses described the UFO as approximately 100 feet long with a metallic appearance and intense lights that changed color.

The incident was documented in official police reports and later investigated by Project Blue Book which classified it as unidentified.

Multiple additional officers and civilians reported similar observations that evening adding to the credibility of the event.

This radar visual case remains one of the most compelling documented UFO encounters from the early 1960s.
