Pilots Chase Cylindrical UFOs Over Sao Paulo Brazil in 1986

On the evening of May 19 1986 air traffic controllers in Sao Paulo Brazil detected multiple unidentified objects on radar.

Several commercial airliners reported visual sightings of cylindrical or cigar shaped craft moving at high speeds without navigation lights.

The Brazilian Air Force scrambled Mirage III and F5 fighters to investigate.

Pilots described the objects as metallic cylinders that performed abrupt maneuvers impossible for conventional aircraft.

Radar operators noted the UFOs descending from high altitudes to low levels and then accelerating away from pursuing jets.

Official reports later confirmed that ground radar and airborne radar both locked onto the targets yet the objects evaded interception.

The incident involved multiple witnesses including trained military aviators and civilian crews.

It remains one of the best documented UFO cases in South America with declassified documents supporting the radar and visual evidence.
