On April 23 2007 Captain Ray Bowyer of Aurigny Air Services was flying from Southampton to Alderney when he and his co pilot spotted two massive bright yellow cigar shaped objects hovering in the sky above the English Channel near Guernsey in the Channel Islands.
The objects appeared to be around half the size of a 737 jet and were stacked one above the other. Bowyer observed them for about nine minutes and noted they were glowing intensely with a solid structure.
Passengers on the flight also saw the unusual craft. The sighting was reported to air traffic control and later investigated by aviation authorities with no conventional explanation found.
Similar reports came from other pilots in the area that day. This incident remains one of the best documented pilot UFO encounters in recent European history involving multiple credible witnesses and official records.
