On July 2, 1952, in Tremonton, Utah, a significant UFO incident unfolded when Navy warrant officer Delbert C. Newhouse, while on a family road trip, witnessed and filmed a group of luminous objects in the sky.

Newhouse, an experienced photographer for the Navy, was traveling with his family when he noticed unusual bright objects hovering and moving erratically above the horizon. He quickly retrieved his 16mm movie camera equipped with a telephoto lens and captured approximately two minutes of footage showing around 12 to 15 disc-like objects that appeared to be in a structured formation.

The objects were described as shiny, metallic, and performing maneuvers that seemed beyond the capabilities of conventional aircraft at the time. Newhouse reported the sighting to military authorities, and the film was handed over to the U.S. Navy for analysis.

The Air Force's Project Blue Book, which investigated UFO reports, also reviewed the film and concluded that the objects were likely birds, possibly white pelicans, reflecting sunlight.
