United Airlines Workers Spot Metallic Disc Hovering Over O Hare Airport

On November 7 2006 around 4:15 PM local time at Chicago O Hare International Airport a group of United Airlines employees including pilots ramp workers and managers observed a metallic disc shaped object hovering silently over gate C17.

The object was described as approximately 20 to 30 feet in diameter with no visible lights propulsion or markings. It remained stationary for several minutes before accelerating rapidly upward and disappearing through the cloud layer leaving a distinct circular hole in the overcast sky.

The incident was reported internally and later covered by the Chicago Tribune after an official FAA log entry was obtained through FOIA. No radar returns were recorded by air traffic control and no official explanation was ever issued by the FAA or United Airlines.

The sighting remains one of the best documented mass witness UFO events at a major US airport involving credible aviation professionals.
