Witness Claims Contact With Venusian Being Near Desert Center 1952

On November 20 1952 amateur astronomer and contactee George Adamski reported a close encounter near Desert Center California.

Adamski claimed he was in the Mojave Desert with associates when a large cigar shaped mothership appeared overhead.

He then encountered a separate disc shaped craft that landed nearby.

According to his account a humanoid figure emerged from the craft identifying himself as a Venusian named Orthon.

The being communicated telepathically and warned about nuclear dangers.

Adamski took several photographs of the craft which later became famous.

Footprints left in the sand were reportedly measured and documented by witnesses.

The incident received coverage in newspapers and Adamski published books detailing the event.

While controversial the story remains one of the earliest publicized contact claims in UFO history.
