Women Report Abductions In Tujunga Canyon During 1953

In the winter of 1953 two women named Sara Shaw and Jan Whitley reported a series of disturbing events while living in Tujunga Canyon California.

They described seeing a bright unidentified flying object hovering near their remote cabin followed by periods of missing time.

The women later recalled being taken aboard a craft where they underwent physical examinations by small humanoid beings.

Multiple interviews and hypnotic regression sessions conducted in later years produced consistent details about the encounters.

Local residents also reported strange lights in the sky during the same period lending additional context to the claims.

The Tujunga Canyon incidents became one of the earliest widely documented abduction cases in the United States and continue to be studied by researchers interested in close encounter phenomena.

No physical evidence was recovered yet the sincerity of the witnesses and the similarity to later reports have kept the story alive in UFO literature.
