Background
Anna Paulina Luna was born Anna Paulina Mayerhofer on May 6, 1989, in Santa Ana, California. She was raised by a single mother in Southern California. Luna enlisted in the U.S. Air Force at age 19 and served from 2009 to 2014 as an airfield management specialist. Her assignments included Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri and Hurlburt Field in Florida. She later served in the Oregon Air National Guard from 2017 to 2018 and received the Air Force Achievement Medal.
After her military service, Luna earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of West Florida in 2018. She worked as director of Hispanic engagement for Turning Point USA starting in 2018. In that role she appeared on Fox News, where a segment comparing Hillary Clinton to herpes led the network to apologize to viewers. She also pursued other conservative activism and media work before running for office.
Luna made an unsuccessful bid for Congress in 2020. She won election in 2022 to represent Florida's 13th district and took office in January 2023. She was re-elected in 2024. In Congress she serves on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and the Foreign Affairs Committee. She is a member of the Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Caucus.
In February 2025, Speaker Mike Johnson appointed Luna to chair the House Oversight Task Force on Declassification of Federal Secrets. The task force was created following a Trump administration executive order on declassifying records related to the JFK, RFK, and MLK assassinations. Its scope expanded to include UAP transparency, whistleblower protections, the Epstein files, COVID-19 origins, and 9/11 records.
Luna has conducted oversight on UAP issues through the task force. In September 2025 the task force held a hearing titled 'Restoring Public Trust Through UAP Transparency and Whistleblower Protection.' Witnesses including military veterans testified about encounters, alleged retaliation, and gaps in the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office reporting. Luna has sent letters requesting UAP video files and briefings from the Department of Defense and other agencies.
On the August 2025 episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Luna described evidence she has reviewed in her congressional capacity. She stated that witnesses refer to the phenomena as interdimensional beings capable of operating through time spaces. She said she has seen photo documentation of aircraft she believes were not made by mankind and has not personally seen a portal or spaceship. She emphasized the information came from credible sources and investigations.
Luna has discussed her early exposure to UAP reports during her Air Force service, including accounts from pilots about airspace incursions. Her advocacy focuses on national security implications, government accountability, and declassification of records. She has faced political controversies unrelated to UAP topics but continues to hold her congressional seat and task force chairmanship as of October 2026.
Luna resides in St. Petersburg, Florida, with her husband Andrew Gamberzky and their child. Her background as an Air Force veteran informs her interest in aerospace and national security matters. She has pushed for releases of historical files alongside UAP materials through the task force.
Where They Are Now
