Charles Hall

Charles Hall

Charles James Hall served as a U.S. Air Force weather observer at Nellis AFB and the Indian Springs gunnery ranges from March 1965 to May 1967. He enlisted in July 1964, completed basic training at Lackland AFB and weather training at Chanute AFB, then deployed to Vietnam's Mekong Delta before honorable discharge in May 1968.

Hall claims repeated encounters with Tall White extraterrestrials during his isolated range duties. He published the Millennial Hospitality book series beginning in 2002 detailing these experiences and alleged USAF agreements with the beings; military service records align with fellow observers but the extraterrestrial claims lack independent verification.

Background

Charles James Hall was born and raised in rural Wisconsin near Madison. He graduated high school in 1962 and attended the University of Wisconsin for about a year and a half before enlisting. On July 20, 1964, he joined the U.S. Air Force. He completed basic training at Lackland AFB in Texas and weather observer training at Chanute AFB in Illinois.

In March 1965 Hall was assigned to the weather squadron at Nellis AFB near Las Vegas, Nevada. He spent most of his time from 1965 to 1967 as the duty weather observer on the isolated Indian Springs gunnery ranges, often working alone releasing balloons and reporting conditions. In May 1967 he transferred to Vietnam.

Hall served one year in the Mekong Delta with South Vietnamese forces. He received recognition for surviving multiple attacks during that period. He returned to the United States and received an honorable discharge on May 8, 1968.

After discharge Hall married Marie in 1969. At her encouragement he attended San Diego State University, earning a bachelor's degree in thermal physics and a master's in applied nuclear physics in record time. He completed Ph.D.-level postgraduate work at the University of Maine and later earned an MBA from Nova Southeastern University.

Hall began a civilian career as a physicist and later worked as a database and Oracle specialist in information technology. He and Marie raised six children. In his spare time over 18 years of marriage he wrote memoirs of his military experiences for his family.

In 2002, after Marie discovered the writings, Hall published the first volume of the Millennial Hospitality series. The books describe repeated encounters with tall, pale humanoid beings he called the Tall Whites living in concealed facilities on the Nellis ranges. He alleged the U.S. Air Force maintained a base and technology exchanges with them.

Hall described the beings as frail, long-lived humanoids with advanced craft who had agreements allowing operations on U.S. military land. He has maintained the account without change in subsequent books and public appearances. Fellow weather observers have confirmed his military posting and range duties through independent checks.

No official documents or physical evidence have corroborated the extraterrestrial claims. Hall continued giving interviews, radio appearances, and conference presentations from 2005 through at least 2024, including talks on specific incidents, the beings' appearance, behavior, and alleged interactions with Air Force personnel.

Where They Are Now

As of October 2026 Charles James Hall remains active in sharing his account through book sales and occasional recorded presentations. He and his wife Marie live in the Albuquerque, New Mexico area with grown children and grandchildren.

Hall continues to be identified publicly as the author of the Millennial Hospitality series and a former Air Force weather observer who reported the Tall White encounters.
